Why do I need an onsite rescue team?
Many sites are remote, meaning emergency help maybe a long time away. The law also states "You shall not rely on the public emergency services for rescue". With our equipment and skilled medics your staff are in the best possible hands. As with any insurance it is only as good as when you need it, we have a proven track record for over 25 years supporting industry.
We at ERS understand Safety First! We visit sites prior to work commencing, undertake risk assessments, provide method statements, first aid risk assessments, safe system of work and a rescue plans. We will simulate a rescue to give you the client full confidence.
Our rescue teams are fully qualified to Level 3 Confined spaces rescue and High Risk. You will be assured that all team members are minimum Level 3 medically trained and carry the latest advanced resuscitation equipment including Oxygen, pain relief , fluids , defibrillators and life saving medication. Many providers only carry defibrillators!
Provide all involved with a safety brief on the procedure for entering the space and the emergency signals so everyone has a clear understanding what to do in an emergency.
We test for toxic or oxygen deficient atmospheres before anyone enters the space and continue to do so at 30 minute intervals. We check all equipment is suitable and in safe working order. Provide emergency 10 minute breathing apparatus to all those entering, the ERS Team have full Breathing apparatus. We provide fall arrest systems, electric and manual winches, rope access and a Bosuns chair should the entry be unstable. We monitor, supervise and log all personnel entering and exiting the work space.
